The Scandals |
|

Punk rock is alive in New Jersey and The Scandals are proof positive of that. Since they formed in 2004, they have played an eclectic mix of venues, ranging from basements to bars, colleges, and major clubs, they have slowly but surely gained the crowd and the following most local bands strive for. After years of developing their sound and releasing a number of demos, they ironically matured with their previous EP Entitled To Youth. The Scandals bring their energy from packed basement shows to your speakers with their first full length entitled The Sound Of Your Stereo. From start to finish, this album is a guaranteed roller coaster ride.

Battleflask's Smile is Something to Smile About |
|

Taking the west coast by storm since their inception in 2006, Battle Flask has raised the bar for punk rock music with their relentless touring and flawless live performances. From the seedy underbelly of North Hollywood, Battle Flasks' list of press and gigs reads like a "who's who" of punk rock. The band has generated a lot of press and has been featured in publications such as Fat Mike's Punk Rock Confidential, Loud Fast Rules, Razorcake, PunkNews.org, Skratch, and Big Wheel Magazine. They've already shared the stage with the likes of The Dead Kennedys, Agnostic Front, The Vibrators, The Street Dogs, Strung Out, JFA, Blitz, MDC, and Sham 69 in such venues as The House of Blues, The Galaxy Theatre, Safari Sam's, The Knitting Factory, and even Danny DeVito's birthday party!
Battle Flask set a pace that only the seasoned veteran bands could keep up with. Battle Flasks' stage presence and work ethic is second to none and they have made a name for themselves in a vast pool of L.A. talent. Their sound is unique; blistering punk rock beats mixed with an outlaw country twang and politically charged lyrics. They've been compared to Dropkick Murphy's, Cock Sparrer and One Man Army, while maintaining an identity of their own. They have been featured on numerous comps, have landed rotation on internet radio shows, and always seem to have gigs scheduled 3 months in advance

Calling All Bands And Fans of Punk Rock |
|
PunkRockMusic.com's officially rolling out the new and improved website. It's still a bit rough, but we're making progress. Never let anyone tell you it's easy to run a website, store and internet radio station at the same time. All of which we are doing.
We're waiting on a few things, but our store will be undergoing a complete transformation in the next four months and we're focusing on selling merch for bands from our local markets of New York City, North and South Jersey, and Philadelphia. Any band wishing to sell merch will have to send the messages to info(at)punkrockmusic.com and we'll get back to you asap.
"Radio Station" - The radio stream has been up and running now for about five months. The plan is to move forward with some live radio shows and sell local advertising spots. We're RIAA, ASCAP, BMI, etc. compilant through our deal with our stream hosting partner, so any band, record label, publisher, and anyone else that wants us to stream their music must send the hard discs to us at:
Punkrockmusic.com, Inc. P.O. Box 586 Lebanon, NJ 08833 ***Send a heads up to info(at)punkrockmusic.com too! Preferred format is .mp3 at 192bps.
We're open to playing anything, and I'll still play shitty punk, we'll because punk rock is like you and me, imperfect.
A couple of some local bands featured in the radio stream are The Gaslight Anthem, Vision, Bouncing Souls, Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law (I swear Jimmy, we'll play and sell your stuff as soon as DVis get's his shit together), and One Short Fall to name a few. More to come.
Please sign up for our community. It won't cost you anything. Our Facebook connect should be up and running in the next couple of weeks, which will allow you to sign up and bring over your avatar and some basic information into the site, so you won't have to recreate the wheel. Bands can sign up as a band. Pretty straight forward stuff. Our community features are comparable to the bigs and more features are on the way.
Oh yeah, if you want to contribute and are a member, we're definitely open to developing our net "street team". Any questions write to me at info(at)punkrockmusic.com.
